  • Leads and contributes to significant cross-functional People Operations projects with minimal oversight, breaking down large initiatives into manageable tasks while independently assessing trade-offs and priorities.
  • Is accountable for delivering tactical business targets within People Operations that directly impact team efficiency and the Villager experience, proactively ensuring knowledge is shared and processes are scalable to avoid single points of failure.

  • Organizational Knowledge:
  • Monitors industry trends in HR technology, global compliance, and talent management, alongside internal Anchorage objectives, to inform goal-setting and strategic decision-making for People Operations and the wider firm.
  • Understands and clearly communicates how their work in People Operations drives Anchorage’s broader strategic objectives forward, enhancing operational excellence and Villager engagement.
  • Acts as a culture carrier, actively contributing to Anchorage's hiring efforts by providing referrals, conducting interviews, mentoring new interviewers, and participating in recruiting events.

  • Communication and Influence:
  • Mentors more junior teammates within People Operations, helping them align their efforts with department goals and Anchorage’s overall company strategy.
  • Demonstrates leadership across teams and departments to improve collaboration and knowledge sharing regarding HR processes, policies, and system capabilities.
  • Leads and communicates complex ideas and solutions related to HR operational changes, system improvements, or policy updates to get buy-in from diverse stakeholders across the firm.

  • You may be a fit for this role if you have:
  • Expert-level proficiency and hands-on experience with Workday or Dayforce, including advanced configuration, reporting, and module management.
  • Demonstrated mastery of the entire employee lifecycle, with a proven ability to design, implement, and optimize scalable HR processes across diverse organizational structures.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience managing complex global immigration processes and ensuring compliance for a diverse workforce.
  • Proven ability to independently solve complex problems, manage significant cross-functional projects with minimal oversight, and proactively navigate ambiguity and roadblocks.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and best practices in a regulated financial environment.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs related to HR systems or processes to varied audiences across a firm.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for continuous process improvement.
  • A track record of mentoring junior team members and demonstrating leadership in collaborative, cross-functional environments to drive organizational alignment.

  • Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
  • Experience with other specialized HR platforms or tools beyond core HRIS (e.g., ATS, LMS, advanced payroll systems).
  • Demonstrated experience within a global financial services firm navigating complex regulatory environments.
  • Proven experience with HR analytics and dashboard creation to monitor key People Operations metrics and drive strategic insights.
  • You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
