Oracle System Engineer (German Speaker)

Role Overview

We are looking for a System Engineer specialized in Oracle databases, with strong German language skills, to join a dynamic enterprise environment.

In this role, you will independently administer, optimize, and further develop highly available Oracle database systems running on Linux. You will play a key role in automation initiatives, platform standardization, and continuous improvement of monitoring and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize highly available Oracle databases in production environments

• Standardize and further develop the Oracle database platform on Linux systems

• Automate recurring operational tasks and expand self-service capabilities

• Contribute to proactive monitoring and sustainable troubleshooting

• Enhance and maintain monitoring solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud Control, Grafana)

• Participate in on-call rotation and handle occasional evening/weekend activities

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration

• Experience managing Oracle environments on Linux

• Knowledge of high availability concepts (RAC, Data Guard – if applicable)

• Experience with monitoring tools (Cloud Control, Grafana or similar)

• Experience with automation and scripting

• Ability to work independently in enterprise environments

• Fluent German (mandatory)

• Good English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Shell scripting)

• Exposure to ITIL-based environments

• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
