Role Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Full-Stack Engineer who is AI-native in their development workflow. This role will lead the architecture and development of a secure client portal and internal admin platform, built from scratch in a high-trust, regulated environment.

You will work directly with company leadership to design and ship scalable systems that integrate deeply with mission-critical SaaS tools. This is a hands-on, product-driven engineering role requiring end-to-end ownership—from MVP to multi-tenant architecture.

The ideal candidate thrives in startup environments, ships quickly without compromising security, and actively leverages AI-assisted development tools to accelerate output and quality.

Your Impact

  • Build and launch a secure, production-grade client portal serving regulated healthcare innovators
  • Implement scalable multi-tenant architecture supporting long-term growth
  • Strengthen compliance posture through secure authentication, RBAC, and encryption aligned with HIPAA and SOC2 standards
  • Integrate critical SaaS systems to streamline operations and reduce manual workflows
  • Leverage AI-assisted development and agentic workflows to increase engineering velocity and system intelligence

Core Responsibilities

Full-Stack Architecture & Development – 40%

  • Architect and build a secure client portal and internal admin dashboards
  • Develop scalable backend services and APIs
  • Implement robust frontend experiences using modern frameworks
  • Design multi-tenant architecture supporting future growth

Systems Integration – 20%

  • Build and maintain integrations with Microsoft 365 (Graph API), HubSpot, and Asana
  • Implement OAuth flows, webhook listeners, and background sync jobs
  • Ensure reliability and data integrity across third-party platforms

Security & Compliance Engineering – 20%

  • Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Apply encryption best practices across data storage and transmission
  • Align system architecture with SOC2 and HIPAA standards

AI & Intelligent Workflow Implementation – 10%

  • Integrate AI-assisted development practices into daily workflows
  • Research and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic workflows
  • Automate document intake and workflow orchestration

Infrastructure & DevOps – 10%

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability

Requirements

Must-Haves (Required)

  • 6+ years of production-level software engineering experience
  • Proven experience shipping full-stack applications end-to-end
  • Strong backend expertise in TypeScript/Node.js, Python (FastAPI or Django), or .NET
  • Advanced frontend experience with React or similar modern frameworks
  • Strong experience with Postgres or equivalent relational databases
  • Demonstrated experience building in regulated environments (healthcare, fintech, or legal)
  • Experience implementing authentication, RBAC, and secure system design
  • Daily proficiency using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)

  • Experience with Azure and Microsoft Graph API
  • Deep knowledge of OAuth flows, webhooks, and async job processing
  • Familiarity with SOC2 audit readiness processes
  • Experience designing user interfaces without dedicated design support
  • Previous founding or early-stage startup experience
