We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing AI infrastructure company building a high-performance vector database and cloud platform used in semantic search, recommendation systems, and large-scale AI applications.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Platform to help design and build the core cloud platform that enables engineering teams to deploy and operate distributed systems reliably at scale.
This is a platform engineering role focused on architecture, shared services, and internal developer infrastructure—not day-to-day operations or application features.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design and evolve core services, control-plane components, and internal APIs that power a managed cloud offering and enterprise deployments.
You will work closely with multiple engineering teams to build platform primitives and abstractions that improve scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.
Design and build core platform services and shared infrastructure
Develop and maintain internal APIs and platform components used across engineering teams
Drive architectural initiatives such as:
Service architecture improvements
Event-driven systems and messaging foundations
Platform refactoring and modernization
Build abstractions that reduce operational complexity and cognitive load for developers
Improve platform scalability, reliability, and performance
Write production-grade code in Go and related backend technologies
Collaborate with distributed systems, infrastructure, and feature teams
Participate in incident response when needed, focusing on long-term reliability improvements
5+ years of software engineering experience in:
Platform engineering
Infrastructure or distributed systems
Strong experience with Go and/or Python
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures
Solid understanding of:
Distributed systems
API design
Production systems at scale
Experience building internal platforms or services used by other engineering teams
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Experience with:
gRPC or service-to-service communication frameworks
Event-driven architectures or pub/sub systems
Control-plane or orchestration systems
Familiarity with Kubernetes operators or cluster-level abstractions
Background in SaaS, database, or infrastructure products
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
Contributions to open-source projects
