Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead a QA‑centric, multi‑phase programme spanning 12+ months, with expanding scope into software engineering and data engineering. You will guide a growing delivery team, from an initial 5 members to approximately 15, across three workstreams focused on quality engineering, automation, and DevOps‑driven workflows. This role begins at 50% allocation for the first six months expected to increase to full-time thereafter. 
The project environment is fast‑paced and collaborative, based within the financial services/banking sector in the UK. The role is home‑office–based with occasional travel. 

What You'll Do 

  • Lead the execution of a large-scale QA and automation programme, ensuring delivery of all contractual commitments across multiple workstreams. 
  • Manage, refine, and prioritise Agile backlogs in partnership with Customer PMs, Product Owners, and Service Owners. 
  • Drive value delivery by tracking and communicating key programme benefits including:  
  • Reduction in QA cycle time 
  • Migration from manual to automated testing 
  • Improvements in test data availability, quality, and coverage 
  • Facilitate daily collaboration across a complex matrix organisation, including:  
  • IT leadership and business application leaders (primarily Salesforce‑driven teams) 
  • Internal testing teams and third‑party manual testers 
  • Test automation vendors supporting tooling, training, and adoption 
  • Management, steering groups, and mixed delivery teams of Test Architects, Managers, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and Business Analysts 
  • Champion Agile ways of working, ensuring alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement across all delivery teams. 
  • Support scaling of workstreams as the programme evolves, ensuring momentum and delivery quality.

Requirements

What You Bring 

  • 5+ years of experience operating as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead in complex, multi‑team environments. 
  • Proven success managing multiple concurrent workstreams and maintaining high‑quality backlogs. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with business users and technical teams across various disciplines. 
  • Strong familiarity with QA processes, automated testing, DevOps workflows, and Agile delivery methodologies. 
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills, particularly within matrixed and regulated environments. 
  • Ability to operate independently in a remote-first setting with periodic travel to a UK‐based client site.

 

What Makes You Stand Out 

  • Experience in financial services, banking, or regulated technology environments. 
  • Background in QA transformation programmes, test automation adoption, or test data engineering. 
  • Prior work with Salesforce‑centric teams or complex enterprise business applications. 
  • Hands‑on experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams (Software, Data, QA, Architecture). 
  • Familiarity with vendor‑supported automation tooling and change‑management practices related to tool rollout and adoption.
