Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise IT systems in a fully remote environment. The successful candidate will ensure system availability, performance, security, and reliability while supporting users and collaborating with cross-functional IT teams.

This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and monitor servers, operating systems, and infrastructure components

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls

Monitor system performance, availability, backups, and disaster recovery processes

Apply system updates, patches, and security controls

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues

Maintain system documentation, configurations, and standard operating procedures

Support compliance with security, data protection, and IT governance standards

Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, and application teams to support IT operations

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 3–6 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role

Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments

Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools

Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, Microsoft, AWS, or similar)

Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

Knowledge of containerization, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices
