Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong U.S. accounting experience to manage financial operations for our U.S.-based properties and long-term guest accounts. This role requires hands-on experience in revenue tracking, reconciliations, and month-end close, with close coordination across operations and finance teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident working with multiple systems while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

Revenue Management & Billing

    • Lease & Agreement Execution:
      Oversee the financial setup of long-term guest agreements, ensuring site fees, deposits, and recurring charges are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
    • Utility Billing:
      Manage monthly utility reconciliations by verifying meter readings against provider invoices and ensuring accurate rebilling to long-term tenants or guests.
    • Invoicing:
      Prepare and review monthly invoices for extended-stay guests, ensuring all ancillary charges (e.g., storage, additional vehicles, pets) are properly captured and billed.

Financial Operations & Reconciliation

    • PMS to General Ledger Reconciliation:
      Reconcile transaction data from Property Management Systems (e.g., Campspot, Newbook, or similar) to the General Ledger to ensure all revenue is recorded accurately.
    • Accounts Payable:
      Coordinate vendor payments and manage property-level expenses, including utilities, maintenance, and landscaping.
    • Bank Reconciliations:
      Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for operating accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

General Accounting & Reporting

    • Month-End Close:
      Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
    • Financial Coordination:
      Act as a liaison between on-site managers and the corporate finance team to resolve cash variances, billing issues, and credit card disputes.
    • Compliance:
      Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Qualifications

    • 3+ years of U.S. accounting experience.
    • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
    • Experience with accounting systems and PMS platforms; QuickBooks experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliations and reporting.
    • Experience handling billing, reconciliations, and multi-entity accounting.
    • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
    • Ability to manage sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
