Position Summary: 

We are seeking a Key Account Manager, Alternative Channel to oversee and actively manage select accounts to maximize business growth. This role is responsible for driving sales, growing Marsham Client brands, and improving profitability while providing exceptional customer service at the assigned key accounts. This position reports to the Vice President, Alternative Channel.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and manage relationships with key accounts in the Alternative Channel. 
  • Identify growth opportunities, implement sales strategies, and achieve sales targets.
  • Provide excellent service to clients to enhance brand visibility and market positioning.
  • Analyze business performance, assess client needs, and deliver effective solutions to drive success.
  • Prepares and presents promotions, pricing, and merchandising, to assigned retailers on a timely basis.
  • Manage all trade spending within budgeted limits while delivering to clients’ priorities.
  • Executes Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews with Key Retailers.
  • Present all new products and line extensions utilizing client data, and distributor data.
  • Advise customers on customer category dynamics and other category management practices including assortment and POG development.
  • Execute and monitor all Client’s marketing initiatives (i.e.:  couponing, placement of signage).
  • Actively review, assess, and provide feedback to manager and Brand Business Managers on in-store conditions and competition.
  • Attend all sales meetings scheduled by the company.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree. Preferred MBA or Business focus.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with CPG Manufacturing companies, calling on National & Regional customers, and Natural Health Product experience is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated highly developed written (business and creative) and verbal communication skills, tact, assertiveness, and business acumen.
  • Hands-on team player with the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve optimal results.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, strong multitasking, and prioritization abilities with a proven track record of over-achieving on sales targets in a fast-paced environment and exceeding organizational goals.
  • Excellent presentation and selling skills across multiple audiences of management and national CPG Accounts/Clients.  
  • Some Travel is required.
