The Cloud Ops team keeps the engines running at our best. On any given day, the Zscaler cloud processes tens of billions of transactions — scanning a petabyte of data — for 15 million users around the world. The transaction volume on the Zscaler cloud is growing every quarter, yet the cloud's overall stability just continues to improve, and that is directly attributable to the Cloud Ops team's deep expertise and its diligence to availability, and scalability.

You will report to the Sr. Manager of Network Engineering and be a member of Zscaler’s global network engineering operations team. You will be responsible for:

  • Deploying, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting the Zscaler worldwide production network spread across 40+ datacenters around the world.
  • The ideal candidate has a proven track record of operating enterprise or telecom data center networks, is a creative thinker, self-starter, problem solver, learner, careful, works well in ambiguity, and is motivated by engineering excellence.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in remote Data Centre operations, including debugging remote fiber and patching issues and 2-5 years of experience with high-speed fiber Ethernet networks(think 10G, 100G and larger).
  • Hands-on experience in BGP routing operation and troubleshooting in both IPv4 and IPv6 for large scale Enterprise or Telecom networks and experience troubleshooting L2 and L3 remote networks and Internet path issues
  • Organizational skills and experience working with ticketing and inventory systems and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and changing priorities.

 What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in IP-packet analysis using WireShark and CCNP, JNCIP related certification classes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DNS, HTTPS, GRE, and IPsec protocols with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience on Linux/Unix, and Network equipment and the tasks they perform. Familiar with Unix Shell scripts and CCNP, JNCIP related certification classes.
