Dlocal powers payments in emerging markets, helping global companies collect and send funds using local rails.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead Dlocal’s Card Payments Optimization strategy. Your mission: maximize approval rates and overall performance of our card payment flows by launching new features, leveraging network capabilities, and delivering innovative solutions that help our merchants convert more transactions.
This role is at the intersection of product innovation, data-driven optimization, and deep card payments expertise. You’ll work with card networks, acquirers, and merchants to identify high-impact improvements — from implementing network tokenization to optimizing retry logic — and bring them to market at scale.
What will I be doing?
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for card payments optimization, with a focus on increasing approval rates and transaction success.
Launch and scale high-impact card payment features such as network tokenization, account updater, optimized routing, and advanced retry logic.
Partner with card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and acquirers to leverage the latest capabilities and best practices.
Collaborate with engineering, data, and merchant-facing teams to design and implement optimizations.
Conduct in-depth analysis of approval and decline patterns to uncover opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with merchants to align on optimization strategies and tailor solutions to their markets and business models.
Design experiments, A/B tests, and rollout plans to validate performance improvements before scaling.
Monitor competitive trends and regulatory changes impacting card payments in emerging markets.
What skills do I need?
7+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, or related fields.
Deep understanding of card payment flows, including authorization, settlement, and network capabilities.
Track record of delivering measurable improvements in card payment performance.
Strong analytical skills with experience using data tools (e.g., SQL, BI platforms) to drive decisions.
Excellent relationship management skills with external partners such as card networks and acquirers.
Proven ability to prioritize and deliver high-impact product changes in fast-paced environments.
