Job Title: Part time Test Engineer
Schedule: US Business Hours(Central Time)
Hourly rate: $10-14/month (approx 40 hours per month)
We are seeking a talented A/B Test Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and A/B testing, specifically for eCommerce sites built on Shopify. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of A/B testing principles, and proficiency with various testing platforms. This is a part-time role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on impactful eCommerce projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to improve conversion rates on Shopify-based eCommerce websites.
- Utilize tools such as Convert.com, Adobe Target, and Dynamic Yield for testing and optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing objectives, KPIs, and hypotheses.
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues related to testing implementations, including browser-specific bugs and errors in testing tools.
- Maintain a high level of code quality by writing clean, reusable, and efficient code.
- Contribute to the technical direction of projects by collaborating with teammates and offering concise code reviews.
- Ensure accessibility compliance by addressing errors flagged in tools like WAVE or Lighthouse (e.g., alt tags, color contrast).
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge with the broader team to enhance efficiency and best practices.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in CRO and A/B testing, specifically on Shopify platforms.
- Proficiency with Convert.com, Adobe Target, and Dynamic Yield.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, front-end frameworks, and familiarity with Single Page Applications (SPAs).
- Basic understanding of SPA frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and associated pitfalls.
- Experience with Node.js, including debugging and troubleshooting reported issues.
- Familiarity with browser devtools for debugging HTML, CSS, and network requests.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and resolve common issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with tools like Visually.io, Shoplift, or other testing platforms.
- Exposure to accessibility standards and tools such as WAVE or Lighthouse.
- Interest in contributing to versioning and publishing fixes or new features in Node.js.
