We are Bïrch. Our product helps marketing teams launch, manage, and analyze ads and social campaigns through automation and creative solutions. Recently, we rebranded from Revealbot to Bïrch, and we wrote about this transformation journey here. In short, we want the brand to reflect our personalities more: creative, inspiring, controversial, and diverse.

Our QA process is currently shared among the manual QA, engineers, and product team. However, as our development processes become more mature and complex, our current setup no longer meets our needs. We are seeking a QA automation expert to evaluate our existing process, suggest and implement a more efficient one, and train our Junior QA to follow it.

🌍 Who are we?

The answer to this question is always evolving. But for now, the answer is that we’re a remote-first team of approximately 30 friends from around the world, with an HQ in Barcelona. And when we say friends, we mean it—Birch’s founders are three school friends, so trust, playfulness, and personal touch are at our core. We hire globally and love meeting up in person: last October, we were in Barcelona, and the year before, we were in Istanbul. Requirements

🧑‍🎤 Who are you?

• You've led QA automation efforts in a small product-focused team. You can assess the environment, select the appropriate technical stack, and implement testing pipelines. Some of the technologies that we use are Ruby, Go, Rspec, PostgreSQL.
• You've built and set up QA processes from the ground up that are suitable and easy to adopt for the rest of the team.
• You’re comfortable communicating in English with your teammates.
• You have experience hiring, mentoring, and managing a QA team, ensuring tasks are well-organized and team members work smoothly together.
• You’ve worked in environments with little documentation and taken the initiative to create and maintain the necessary documents.

Bonus points if:

• You are familiar with the advertising industry and understand how digital ads work.

✍🏼 What will you do?

• Review our current processes, suggest improvements, and create a solid QA process for the team.
• Guide and mentor our QA engineer in adopting these new processes.
• Start with manual tests of Birch’s new and existing functionality, and later set up automation infrastructure.
• Document test results, write up necessary documentation, and keep everything current.
• Work closely with the product, development, and support teams to resolve issues, share insights, and keep everyone in the loop.
