Jr. IT Security Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a Jr. IT Security Analyst to support our IT & Infrastructure department in ensuring smooth operations and robust security. This intermediate-level role works closely with the IT Security Analyst to oversee systems, networks, and tools while maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment.

Department Management:

  • Oversee IT & Infrastructure operations, ensuring systems are secure and compliant with company and regulatory policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate security measures, providing recommendations to align IT security with infrastructure needs.
  • Act as the subject matter expert, guiding the team and organization through technical challenges and improvements.

Maintenance and Improvement:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Install and upgrade hardware and software to meet security protocols.
  • Identify and address potential IT issues promptly, ensuring business continuity.
  • Conduct audits and maintenance to improve systems, networks, and tools.
  • Analyze IT needs, research solutions, and recommend upgrades to meet organizational growth.
  • Implement disaster recovery plans and safeguard information assets.
  • Develop and maintain tools and trackers for system processes.
  • Upskill employees, clients, and stakeholders in using organizational systems and technologies.

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Create and enforce IT policies, including cybersecurity and information security measures.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture to ensure data privacy compliance.
  • Conduct workshops and training on IT policies and procedures.
  • Regularly review and update policies to align with business strategies and regulatory standards.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Prepare and submit IT-related reports regularly.
  • Audit compliance with IT policies and procedures, addressing non-compliance promptly.
  • Perform root cause analysis for system issues and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain organized reports, audit files, and trackers, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Completed at least 2 years of IT, Computer Science, or any related field; certifications like CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are a plus.
  • 2-3 years in IT infrastructure, network management, or security.
  • Proficiency in hardware/software installation, system maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, Google Workspace, and programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security, disaster recovery, and compliance frameworks.
  • Analytical mindset with expertise in root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Good communication skills for reporting, policy creation, and training.
