We are looking for a dedicated, ambitious, and self-driven Test Manager to take ownership of the success of multiple projects. The role involves quality & test advocacy, resource planning & management, and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort.

Requirements

Role Responsibilities & Expectations:

Overview:

  • The Test Manager is responsible for overseeing complex business-as-usual processes and test cycle management while supporting collaboration across cross-functional teams. This role requires a proactive approach to process optimisation, project management, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will ensure operational excellence, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support a collaborative team environment.
  1. Process Management:
    • Manage complex business as usual processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and optimise processes.
    • Contribute to improving processes by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements.
    • Take ownership of resolving difficult situations and collaborating with stakeholders and team members to find solutions.
    • Oversee the execution of test cycles, ensuring accuracy, adherence to timelines, and maintaining high-quality standards.
  2. Project Management & Communication:
    • Manage projects by scoping, planning, allocating testers, and monitoring progress.
    • Ensure alignment with cross-functional teams to achieve goals and resolve challenges related to test cycles.
    • Effectively communicate process changes and updates to stakeholders, adapting language for different audiences.
    • Demonstrate empathy by understanding diverse perspectives and adapting communication styles to suit varying contexts and individuals. 
    • Foster open dialogue and maintain clear, concise communication across teams and stakeholders to promote collaboration and alignment.
  3. Test Cycle Management & Risk Assessment:
    • Ensure test cycles are valid, accurate, and completed on time.
    • Monitor tester progress, manage delays, and replace testers when necessary.
    • Conduct cycle investigations, document lessons learnt, and share insights to improve future cycle management.
    • Identify and evaluate risks across projects, collaborate on risk mitigation strategies, and track risk monitoring activities.
  4. Tool Proficiency & Process Improvement:
    • Knowledge of tools like Jira and Confluence is a plus.
    • Continuously improve internal processes by suggesting tool enhancements, streamlining workflows, and integrating new technologies.
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth coordination across departments.
  5. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
      • Manage to map out the flow of activities, inputs, and outputs, ensuring accurate documentation of test cycles and internal processes.
      • Maintain data integrity through regular validation checks, ensuring high-quality information across all documentation.
      • Share knowledge with the team on testing processes or any area of interest.
      • Collaborate with other teams to keep documentation up to date, ensuring easy access and clarity.
      • Being data driven and organised when it comes to documenting processes.
  6. Teamwork, Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Support effective communication and teamwork.
    • Build strong working relationships across departments to enhance collaboration and mutual support.
    • Actively contribute to team discussions, sharing insights and listening to diverse perspectives.
    • Support an inclusive team environment that encourages open communication and innovation.
    • Proactively identify and address team needs, ensuring alignment with overall organisational objectives.
    • Act as a liaison between teams to ensure alignment on shared goals and priorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in operations or a similar role within a tech company.
  • Proven experience in process management or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to various audiences.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and other project management or process improvement tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for supporting teamwork and driving results.
  • Ability to manage complex projects.
  • Experience in process improvement and streamlining workflows for efficiency.
  • It’s considered a plus experience in risk mitigation and analysis.
