Job Description

We are seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cloud infrastructure and be experienced in implementing automation tools, monitoring, and deployment processes. On top of that, previous experience with standards compliance, security and implementation of DevOps best practices will be valued.

The Site Reliability Engineer will work closely with multiple teams, supporting the build and maintenance of the production infrastructure, while ensuring we comply with applicable standards and that our systems are secure.

This is a Work From Anywhere position. That means you can work from home, or from our office in Coimbra, Portugal. Whatever works best for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Major contributions to our technical strategy, in domains such as Infrastructure, Security and Cloud Architecture
  • Maintain and extend our cloud infrastructure, applying infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices
  • Evolve our IaC towards enabling other teams to create their own infrastructure
  • Build and maintain core functionalities in our infrastructure, such as monitoring, logging and auditing
  • Ensure we're compliant with relevant standards in the industry (e.g. HIPAA) and security best practices
  • Support development teams in creating and improving their CI/CD pipelines and automation

Requirements

  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure technologies, preferably AWS
  • Strong experience with IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CDK
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems
  • Experience with container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS ECS)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience with security best practices or health industry standards (e.g. HIPAA)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) is a nice-to-have
  • .NET, Python or JavaScript experience is a nice-to-have
  • Data Engineering and Machine Learning experience is a nice-to-have
