One of our companies is currently looking for a Key Account Manager, Small Format Northeast in the USA.
We are looking for a results-driven Key Account Manager to oversee and grow strategic relationships across small format channels, including convenience retail, drug store, and military accounts. This role involves both developing new partnerships and maximizing the performance of existing ones. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, analytical, and experienced in driving execution through cross-functional teamwork. You will be instrumental in developing business plans, managing field operations, and achieving revenue goals through tailored product strategies and promotions.
Accountabilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts including Sheetz, EG America, GPM, and regional partners
- Balance new business development (20%) with account growth and retention (80%)
- Lead planning and execution of trade strategies, promotions, and product placement initiatives
- Analyze syndicated data to identify trends and opportunities, delivering accurate volume and profitability forecasts
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Operations, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure alignment and execution
- Conduct market visits, buyer meetings, and attend trade shows to support sales initiatives
- Ensure distributor execution meets defined KPIs including 90% fill rates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience in Key Account Management within the CPG industry, particularly in small format retail
- Strong presentation skills and experience pitching to retail buyers
- Ability to analyze data and apply insights to business planning (experience with Circana, Vividly, and VIP preferred)
- Exceptional collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with adaptability to changing market conditions
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willingness to travel up to 40% across domestic markets
