Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Marketing Manager to strategically plan, execute, and measure high-impact marketing events and initiatives designed to enhance community engagement, generate qualified leads, and amplify Ververica’s brand presence. You will own our event strategy, including our flagship first-party event Flink Forward, as well as regional and virtual engagements, ensuring each delivers tangible results aligned with our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy and Execution
- Strategically plan, manage, and execute events where Ververica participates (as a speaker, sponsor, attendee or organizer),regional meetups, webinars, and other virtual and in-person events.
- Ensure high attendee satisfaction, engagement and commercial impact (measured by leads, MQLs and opportunities) by delivering compelling event experiences aligned with Ververica’s brand and messaging.
- Organize and own the pre- and post-event processes, including outreach and follow-up
- Coordinate logistics, speaker management and sponsorship fulfillment for third-party events.
- Own the sponsorship sales and partnerships for Flink Forward
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Sales Operations to ensure seamless lead capture, scoring, and nurturing post-event.
- Own and develop Ververica’s footprint in the community, including meetups, and workshops; both virtual and in-person
Account-Based Field Activities
- Collaborating with sales and the rest of Marketing to craft and deploy account- or vertical-specific marketing tactics, such as executive dinners, VIP events, Customer Advisory Boards or co-branded content for high-value target accounts.
Content and Communications
- Coordinate the creation and own the distribution of pre- and post-event content, including promotional materials, videos, blogs, session summaries, and social media engagement.
- Work cross-functionally with our Communications and Design functions to ensure alignment and consistency of event messaging across all channels.
- Implement robust quality assurance measures to maintain a high communication standard, free from errors.
Performance Measurement and Optimization
- Track, measure, and report on key event metrics such as attendee satisfaction, lead generation, ROI, and social media/media mentions.
- Continuously refine event strategies based on analytics and insights to maximize event effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and external vendors to ensure successful event execution and follow-up.
- Provide event-related training, insights, and support to internal teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of field marketing or event management experience, ideally in a technology environment.
- Proven track record of planning and executing large-scale conferences and targeted regional/virtual events.
- Strong analytical skills with experience measuring and reporting event performance metrics.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with event management tools, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot), and experience with marketing automation platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience creating compelling promotional and follow-up event content.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and external partners.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple projects and priorities.
- Interest or experience in data streaming, open-source software, or enterprise SaaS is highly desirable, though not required.
