One of our companies is currently looking for a Director of Product Marketing, Insomnia in the United States.

As the Director of Product Marketing, you will lead and grow a high-performing team responsible for Kong Insomnia, a core product within the company’s cloud infrastructure portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive product marketing strategy, positioning Insomnia in the marketplace, and driving awareness of the product's value among key technical audiences. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on building processes for scalable marketing efforts and ensuring the alignment of product messaging across teams. You'll work closely with various stakeholders to create and execute go-to-market strategies and deliver compelling narratives for the product.

Accountabilities:

• Lead and develop a team of product marketers focused on Kong Insomnia.
• Create and execute product positioning, messaging, and competitive analysis to differentiate Insomnia in the market.
• Represent the company at industry events, particularly those relevant to developers, delivering keynotes and engaging with key stakeholders.
• Develop scalable processes for content creation, product launches, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement.
• Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and field teams to execute a customer-centric product strategy.
• Coach and train field teams on effective product pitches, value propositions, and messaging for Insomnia.
• Provide insights to influence the product roadmap, acting as the voice of the customer.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product marketing and/or product strategy.
• 5+ years leading product marketing teams in cloud-native solutions, preferably in API, SaaS, or open-source software.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills with the ability to influence across multiple teams.
• Proven experience in developing and executing product marketing strategies for technical audiences.
• Passion for team development with a coaching mindset to help others grow.
• Ability to drive measurable outcomes and experiment with strategies to innovate and improve results.
