Job Title: Financial Analyst – eCommerce

About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Financial Analyst with a strong background in eCommerce to join our finance team. In this role, you will provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and drive financial performance across our digital sales channels. Your experience in the fast-paced eCommerce sector will be crucial in analyzing performance metrics, forecasting trends, and identifying opportunities for growth and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial performance across all eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, DTC, etc.).
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including P&L statements, cash flow, and balance sheets.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), digital marketing spend ROI, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and sales teams to support strategic initiatives and promotions.
- Conduct pricing analysis and contribute to pricing strategies for products across channels.
- Identify trends and make recommendations to optimize revenue and reduce costs.
- Support inventory planning and working capital management in partnership with supply chain teams.
- Provide insights on customer lifetime value, churn rates, and subscription-based revenue (if applicable).
- Ensure financial compliance and accuracy with internal controls and reporting standards.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or CPA/CMA a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst role, preferably in the eCommerce or digital retail space.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Experience working with eCommerce tools and platforms such as Shopify, Google Analytics, Amazon Seller Central, etc.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).
- Solid understanding of digital marketing metrics and eCommerce funnel performance.
Nice to Have
- Experience with subscription-based or multi-channel retail models.
- Understanding of international eCommerce and currency impacts.
- Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages.
