Solutions Architect – Integration & API Strategy

Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with deep expertise in enterprise integration patterns and API strategy—and proven experience supporting US-based clients. This role is critical in assessing and refactoring current-state integration architectures and helping define the future-state API platform for enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
You will collaborate across business, architecture, and engineering teams to guide integration modernization, deliver scalable platform designs, and influence technical direction at the intersection of product and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

*Assess and refactor existing integration patterns, identifying opportunities for modernization, standardization, and performance optimization.
*Lead the definition of the future-state API platform, including reference architectures, governance models, and platform strategy.
*Architect and guide the implementation of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event- driven systems using modern frameworks and tools.
*Engage directly with US-based client stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable architectural decisions.
*Produce architectural documentation including integration maps, API contracts, sequence diagrams, and technical standards.
*Evaluate and recommend tools for API management, integration orchestration, and messaging (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure API Management).
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical alignment across business, infrastructure, and security domains.

Required Qualifications

*7+ years of experience in solution architecture or integration engineering roles.
*Demonstrated success in client-facing consulting environments, specifically with US-based enterprise clients.
*Deep understanding of integration patterns (ESB, pub/sub, API gateway, message queues).
*Experience architecting or modernizing API-first platforms at scale.
*Strong background with tools such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apigee, Azure API Management, or equivalent platforms.
*Proficiency in REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and event-streaming (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Fluent English (written and spoken), with the ability to present technical concepts to both
technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

*Cloud-native architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
*Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
*Exposure to modernization of legacy SOA or monolithic systems.
*Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Architect, SAFe Architect).
