One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager, Conservation Funding in United States.
The Senior Project Manager, Conservation Funding will lead and manage a variety of projects aimed at expanding the organization's capacity to secure and manage public funding. You will work across departments to implement key initiatives, provide technical assistance, and develop training materials for stakeholders. This role involves managing complex funding projects, creating detailed project plans, and collaborating with external partners to enhance funding opportunities for habitat conservation and climate action efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public funding, project management, and developing training programs for grant management.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for initiatives that improve the identification, pursuit, and management of public funding.
- Lead large-scale grant pursuits, managing resources and aligning with a new model for conservation grant application development.
- Create and maintain project plans, dashboards, budgets, and resource matrices to support conservation funding efforts.
- Provide consultation and support for Conservation Funding and Partnerships teams to identify funding opportunities and align them with organizational needs.
- Build relationships with external partners to raise the organization's profile in large-scale funding pursuits, delivering presentations at conferences and workshops.
- Develop complex deliverables including strategy documents, reports, and presentations for various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Public Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in securing and managing public funding, or working with grant-making agencies.
- Extensive knowledge of public funding regulations, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200 et seq.).
- Proven experience in project management, including creating project plans, budgets, and leading teams.
- Ability to develop training materials and deliver training on the grant management lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills with experience writing compelling proposals and reports.
- Experience in change management, particularly in increasing organizational capacity to manage federal funding.
- Knowledge of federal agency funding priorities, including resilience and sustainability.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana or Microsoft Project.
