One of our companies is currently looking for a Business Development Manager - Diamond in India.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving supplier relationships and optimizing their performance in the B2B diamond marketplace. You will play a key role in acquiring, onboarding, and supporting suppliers, helping them align their products with customer demand while ensuring high-quality standards. By closely working with suppliers, you will help grow their sales, optimize product assortments, and facilitate smooth cross-functional collaboration to achieve business goals. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic planning with relationship management to create a dynamic, profitable environment for both suppliers and the company.
Accountabilities:
- Identify, onboard, and support high-potential suppliers, ensuring alignment with the marketplace’s standards and value propositions.
- Build and nurture strong, consultative relationships with suppliers to drive growth, success, and troubleshooting support.
- Use data-driven insights to assess supplier performance and provide feedback on pricing, product selection, and quality metrics.
- Drive supplier sales by optimizing product assortments, inventory levels, and pricing strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure high-quality standards and minimize customer complaints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category objectives, drive buyer engagement, and support marketing initiatives.
- Develop and implement training resources to help suppliers optimize their product listings, manage inventory, and meet performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4-7 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, ideally within B2B marketplaces or e-commerce.
- Strong communication skills with a consultative approach to managing and growing supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in data analytics to guide decision-making and improve supplier performance.
- A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring a positive customer experience.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a focus on supplier growth and achieving targets.
- Experience with B2B marketplaces, luxury retail, or tech-enabled marketplaces is a plus.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and inventory management.
