Job Description

The Internship
As a Junior Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2025, you will work with Omnidian’s OCI (Operations and Continuous Improvement) Team to build and enhance software solutions that support our cloud-based platforms. You will gain hands-on experience developing scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. You will collaborate with Software Engineers, DevOps, and Product Teams to contribute to Omnidian’s mission of delivering cutting-edge solar performance solutions.


What You'll Do

  • Software Development & Engineering
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to support Omnidian’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Using modern architecture, build full stack features from UI to REST endpoints and database interactions.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize performance issues within our cloud-based applications.

  • Who You Are
  • A self-starter who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about software engineering and cloud technology.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a remote team.

  • Experience You’ll Need
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Kotlin, Typescript, Java, or Python).
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and modern development frameworks.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Bitbucket, Git, GitHub).

  • Experience That's a Plus
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).

  • Timeline & Preferred Schedule
  • We plan to have this role start around the beginning of Summer 2025 for two months
  • Ideal working hours would be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm PST

  • Compensation: Our internships offer a competitive hourly wage of $20 per hour. Interns will be paid biweekly and are expected to work 40 hours per week, based on program requirements and availability.
