Job Description
TealBook is looking for an Information Security Analyst to oversee our company’s security planning, implementation and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with IT performance management, network administration, and system security. They will also be familiar with data protection regulations and be able to juggle multiple projects. This role will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure the protection of our networks, applications and data, crafting and maintaining security policies, driving audits, responding to customer security questionnaires, penetration and vulnerability testing, and threat modeling, detection, and prevention. Ultimately, this role will ensure our IT systems are secure, consistent, and reliable.
The Impact You Will Have
Create and maintain security policies at TealBookWork with SOC 2 Type 2 auditors to ensure compliance and certificationWork with customers to communicate TealBook’s security stance and gather security requirementsGuide and collaborate with software engineers to design, implement and operate secure systemsGuide and collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data security best practicesPerform penetration testing and remediationPerform vulnerability testing and remediationPlan and maintain a security roadmapTrack and manage security risksWhat Are We Looking For?
3 - 5+ years of information security experienceThorough knowledge of networks and cloud computingExperience with SOC 2 Type 2Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR, PIPEDA, HIPAA)Experience diagnosing and stopping cyberattacksExperience with vulnerability scanning solutionsExperience penetration testingProficiency with mobile device management and endpoint management softwareA thorough understanding of security best practicesLeadership and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projectsOutstanding communication skillsProblem-solving aptitudeAbility to troubleshoot and repair issuesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience is preferred
