About the Role
We’re seeking a Technical Designer / Animator who can bring bold creative to life through advanced static, motion, and 3D assets—plus compelling short-form video content. This contract role is ideal for a multi-disciplinary creative who knows how to design, animate, and edit video for performance.
You’ll work on everything from ad creatives and GIFs to 3D animations, social-first videos, and high-impact reels. You should be fluent in tools like After Effects, Premiere Pro (or equivalent), and ideally experienced in editing for platforms like Meta, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts—including adding motion graphics, captions, music, and transitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and animate ad creatives across paid social platforms (static, GIFs, short-form video).
- Edit and produce high-performing videos—cutting footage, adding transitions, applying motion effects, and syncing music/audio.
- Add on-brand captions, subtitles, and graphics to maximize video retention and engagement.
- Create motion graphics using After Effects and other tools for use in ads, content, and landing pages.
- Develop light 3D product animations or visual effects using tools like Blender, C4D, or similar.
- Collaborate with our Creative Director and Paid Media team to develop assets aligned with performance goals.
- Optimize final outputs for platform-specific requirements (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in creative design, video editing, and animation.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and Figma plugins such as Jitter etc.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Comfortable working with motion graphics templates, captioning workflows, and social-first formats.
- Familiarity with 3D tools (Blender, Cinema4D, or similar) a strong plus.
- Portfolio that includes ad creatives, video edits, and motion work—ideally across eCommerce brands.
Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate well in a remote-first environment.
Bonus Points For
- Experience editing UGC-style or TikTok-native content.
- Audio editing capabilities (music timing, light sound effects).
- Knowledge of creative testing principles in paid media.
Contract Details
- Remote, flexible schedule
- ~10–20 hours per week depending on active projects
