Job Description
Aretum is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting a critical federal project. This is a contingent position that will focus on ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through comprehensive testing. The Senior Test Engineer will design and implement test plans, execute testing procedures, and work collaboratively with development and project teams to provide feedback and identify improvements.
In this role, you will be responsible for testing both functional and non-functional aspects of software applications, performing integration testing, and ensuring compliance with established quality standards. Responsibilities
- Evaluates the applicability of a broad range of information systems issues, including hardware/software integration, compatibility and multiple platforms. Evaluates the effectiveness and applicability of a broad range of information systems.
- Works with Test Engineer to develop test cases and formal test plans to implement large information system.
- Provides testing input for program engineering and acquisition documents and products.
- Test software system and reports defects clearly and concisely.
- Tracks all system bugs/discrepancies, and ensures software engineers resolve and incorporate necessary fixes.
- Performs complex and repetitive testing to ensure computer system conforms to specifications.
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance
- 14+ years of experience in software testing with a strong understanding of testing methodologies.
- Experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in working directly with clients and stakeholders to ensure requirement satisfaction.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
