Job Description
Managing Client and Venue FIX Connections
- Setting up and maintaining secure and efficient FIX protocol connections with clients and trading venues,
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to these connections to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.
Client and Venue FIX Specifications Management
- Customizing FIX protocol specifications to align with individual client and venue requirements.
- Managing Algo FIX specification upgrades and rollouts,
- Continuously reviewing and updating specifications to meet evolving trading strategies and regulatory standards.
EMS/OMS Vendor Relationships
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with Electronic Market Service and
Order Management System vendors,
- Coordinating with vendors for system compatibility and seamless integration with the firm's technology.
Disaster Recovery and Conformance Testing Planning
- Organizing disaster recovery testing to ensure operational continuity in case of system failures,
- Conducting conformance testing for adherence to internal and external FIX connection standards and requirements.
Setting Up New Venues and Adding New Clients
- Handling the technical setup for integrating new trading venues and onboarding new client connections,
- Ensuring smooth and compliant integration processes that meet operational and regulatory needs.
System Monitoring and Optimization
- Continuously monitoring the platform's performance, identifying areas for improvement,
- Implementing optimizations to enhance system efficiency, reduce latency, and improve overall trading execution
- Liaise with platform engineers and developers to build and manage monitoring and alerting tools and dashboards.
Assistance in Inquiries by Compliance, Regulators, and Venues
- Providing detailed technical information and system data in response to inquiries from the firm’s compliance team,
- Assisting in internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies,
- Complying with regulatory requests, supplying required technical data and explanations regarding the trading platform's operations,
- Acting as the technical point of contact for venues, addressing their queries and concerns regarding trading activities,
- Facilitating communication and information exchange to maintain compliance and good relationships with trading venues.
Requirements
- Alt least 2 years of experience in FIX Protocol
- At least 4 years of experience in Finance/Trading industry.
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Ability to solve complex tasks under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
