[Job-21013] Senior Solutions Architect, Colombia

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solution Architect to join our dynamic team in the education industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to elicit, analyze, and validate business requirements to understand business goals. You should be able to consume, digest, and comprehend unfamiliar IT landscapes, enabling you to design effective solutions. As part of a collaborative team of architects, you will play a critical role in influencing enterprise architecture and guiding the development of system architectures throughout the organization.

Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and validate business requirements, facilitating discussions to help refine those requirements and uncover the underlying motivations.

Architecture Design: Develop comprehensive architectural solutions that leverage existing systems (e.g. Salesforce, Banner, Canvas, PowerFAIDS) and integrate new technologies where necessary. Ensure that all designs adhere to internal technical standards and incorporate best practices to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient solutions.

Integration Strategy: Create integrations between various systems and ensure data consistency across multiple platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, GCP, AWS).

Collaboration: Work closely with a team of architects to ensure alignment between enterprise architecture and system/application architectures.

Documentation: Create detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and design specifications to guide implementation teams.

Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend new technologies or tools that could enhance the organization’s ability to meet business objectives.

Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and risks to stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to delivery teams regarding best practices in application/system architecture, emphasizing the importance of following internal standards.

Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization maintains a competitive edge.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

Proven experience in solution architecture or related roles, preferably in the education sector.

Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS) and integration tools (e.g. MuleSoft).

Familiarity with Salesforce, Banner, Canvas, and PowerFAIDS is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of application/system architecture principles and methodologies.

Experience with integration patterns and data modeling.

Proficiency in architectural modeling tools and frameworks.

Experience using or evaluating AI solutions is preferred.

Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication within our international team.

Ability to mentor and influence others in architectural best practices.
