CI&T is seeking a skilled Python Engineer/AWS ML Ops Expert to join our nearshore team working on a project for our client in the mortgage technology sector. This role will focus on implementing and deploying intelligent systems that optimize the usage of expensive third-party verification APIs ($100s per call). You will build the infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making around API call sequences, creating "waterfall" strategies that minimize unnecessary calls while maintaining effective verification processes. Your work will directly translate data science models into production systems that generate significant cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and deploy machine learning models that optimize third-party API call sequences
Build systems that can make real-time decisions on which verification services to call based on available data
Develop infrastructure to track and analyze the effectiveness and cost of different API call strategies
Create monitoring dashboards to visualize API usage patterns, costs, and optimization opportunities
Implement and maintain data pipelines that capture call patterns and outcomes for continuous improvement
Design and build systems that can A/B test different API call strategies to determine optimal approaches
Collaborate with data scientists to translate optimization algorithms into production systems
Ensure security and compliance when handling sensitive verification data
Implement logging and tracing systems to provide visibility into API call decision-making
Design architecture that supports quick updates to call sequence strategies as models improve
Optimize serverless architecture to support cost-efficient processing of verification workflows
