Job Description
- Develop and implement landscape designs that are feasible for construction and align with client requirements and business objectives.
- Utilize digital collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, project management software, cloud-based CAD tools) to ensure effective remote communication with project teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with landscape architects remotely to ensure design concepts are practical, cost-effective, and executable.
- Actively participate in the entire project lifecycle, from initial design through to construction completion, ensuring seamless integration of design and construction processes.
- Undertake all as-built documents from completion of construction.
- Support other landscape architects in design documentation, as-builts, and general administration tasks within the department.
- Manage design project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently while working in a virtual environment.
- Provide expertise in sustainable design practices and innovative construction techniques, ensuring compliance with Australian design standards.
- Represent the company in virtual industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities to promote our design and construct services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements in landscape design software, and remote collaboration methodologies.
- Record design times in timesheets, ensuring all general office administration tasks are documented via the electronic timesheet system daily.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on design documentation and as-built drawings.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on clarity and collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.
