Position: AI-Native Software Engineer & Technical Strategist

Working hours: at least 4-5 hours overlap with EST

Role Overview

We are looking for a versatile AI-Native Engineer to work closely with the Founder, sitting in on key technical calls and providing clear insights into system design, engineering decisions, and AI implementations. This role is a blend of hands-on development, strategic advising, and high-level problem-solving. You will not only build but also act as a trusted technical thought partner to help shape the company’s AI infrastructure and product direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Sit in on technical calls with the Founder to distill complex engineering discussions into actionable insights.
• Develop and optimize AI-powered applications using Node.js, React, and Python.
• Architect scalable systems with a deep understanding of system design, infrastructure, and AI integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical capabilities with business objectives.
• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance the platform's AI capabilities.
• Act as a strategic advisor on product development, scalability, and technical decision-making.
• Think and operate with a founder’s mindset, anticipating challenges and proactively driving solutions.
  

Key Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Node.js, React, and Python with the ability to build scalable, production-ready applications.
• Deep understanding of system design principles, cloud infrastructure, and AI-driven architectures.
• Experience working in AI-native environments, with hands-on exposure to ML models, NLP, or automation tools.
• Ability to break down technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders, particularly the Founder.
• A “Founder Mentality”—proactive, resourceful, and capable of wearing multiple hats in a fast-growing startup.
• Startup or entrepreneurial experience is highly valued; the ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments is a must.
