Technical Lead (Web3/Blockchain)

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Strategy:
• Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for the user acquisition platform.
• Lead the design and implementation of blockchain components, smart contracts, and related technologies.
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies to enhance platform performance, security, and scalability.
• Hands-On Development:
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for critical parts of the platform.
• Develop and maintain smart contracts, APIs, and other backend services.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Project Management:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and marketing, to align technical efforts with business goals.
• Plan sprints, manage project timelines, and ensure on-time delivery of milestones.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in coding, design patterns, and blockchain development.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging blockchain technologies, and best practices in user acquisition.
• Identify potential improvements in existing systems and propose innovative solutions.
• Advocate for a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the tech team.
• Gaming & Blockchain Expertise:
• Leverage a strong understanding of the gaming industry, including user acquisition trends and challenges.
• Utilize expertise in blockchain games to ensure the platform effectively addresses the unique needs of this sector.
• Act as a subject matter expert on gaming and blockchain gaming, providing insights and strategies that align with industry best practices.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical team members.
• Provide regular project updates and technical insights to senior management.

Requirements

Technical Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in blockchain development, including experience with smart contract platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, etc.).
• Solid background in backend development using languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.
• Experience with database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks and integration techniques (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) is a plus.

• Industry Insight:

• Deep understanding of the gaming industry, including trends in user acquisition and player engagement.

• Proven knowledge of blockchain games and the underlying technologies driving decentralised gaming.
  
• Project Management & Leadership:

• Proven track record in leading development teams and managing full-stack projects.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Experience identifying and working with out-sourcing companies a bonus.
