We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead one (or two) of the Grafana Frontend squads. Our managers take an active role in creating a productive environment for our engineers; be it through removing blockers and impediments, facilitating cross-team collaboration and understanding, or by aiding the team in helping themselves by constantly improving and refining their working practices. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of engineers working on core Grafana features and experience, helping them to perform at their best.
The Grafana Frontend team is responsible for the end to end user experience on Grafana the observability product and Grafana the platform used by many engineers to build plugins. Our squads are responsible for dashboards, data visualisation and manipulation, navigation across the ecosystem, sharing experience, content search,organisation and more.

Our tech stack is mostly made up of services written in Go, running on multiple Kubernetes clusters. The frontend layer is written in React/TypeScript and we use Jest and Cypress for our testing needs. As for CICD, we use Github Actions.
In the United States, the Base compensation range for this role is USD 202,526 - USD 243,031. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed here.
