Partner Development Manager

Job Description

About the Role:

SMT GB is currently seeking a Partner Development Manager to enhance our partnerships and drive business growth. This role will be critical in identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that align with our company's objectives. You will work closely with various internal teams to foster collaboration and ensure that our partners have the necessary support and resources to succeed.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Be the interface between SMT GB, Compact Equipment Partners and end customers
  • Develop sales targets and business plans, working with partners  to ensure growth targets are achieved
  • Attend regular meetings with national account customers, to promote sales of machines, services and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all partners, ensuring their needs are met and promoting sales of machines, services, solutions and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure partners are equipped with the necessary tools and information.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform partnership development efforts.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote SMT GB's value proposition and establish connections.
  • Monitor partnership performance, providing regular feedback and reporting to senior management.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

  • A proven track records in sales or Account management/development
  • Business acumen to carry out commercial negotiations with partners  and others.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Coaching and motivational skills
  • Drive and resilience to maintain consistent high performance in a competitive area.
  • Personal organisation and time-management.

 

Desirable:

  • HND / HNC Engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge of SMT GB products, construction machinery, and SMT/Volvo systems.
