Senior Brand Designer - Variable Contractor

Job Description

A Brand Designer at Zaelab develops strategic design solutions, conducts brand audits, and enhances user experience across digital and physical touchpoints. They collaborate with clients, PMs, and the design team to deliver high-quality brand and content assets. Additionally, they support internal initiatives, maintain design resources, and contribute to marketing efforts.

Your Responsibilities

Client Strategy

Work with the Creative Director and Program Manager to establish an approach for each project:

  • Conduct thorough strategy, brand, and content audits for client accounts.
  • Analyze raw user data and establish actionable creative improvements.
  • Understand design restrictions from physical and digital brand touchpoints.
  • Support in the creation, estimation, and delegation of tasks.

Client Delivery

Work with the Creative PMs to execute brand design and content deliverables for each project:

  • Present both conceptual and revised work to clients and internal teams.
  • Provide strategic direction for content placement and user experience for client web projects.
  • Offer visual and verbal feedback to establish actionable revisions for the design production team.
  • Collaborate with contractors and team members to align creative approaches for brand design and content creation initiatives.

Internal Projects and Initiatives

  • Support internal creative projects and ongoing design initiatives:
  • Stay current on branding design trends and best practices.
  • Maintain all brand design files, assets, and applicable software/services.
  • Contribute to the production of assets for social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Assist in ongoing design initiatives for the Zaelab website.
  • Work closely with the Sales team in the production and management of marketing collateral.

About You

  • 3-5 years of experience in brand design, visual design, or related fields.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in brand identity, digital design, and content creation.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and work iteratively on design revisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate client needs into compelling visual solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with web design principles and content strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
