Data Scientist

Job Description

Role

We’re looking for a Data Scientist with a focus on ‘full stack’ data science experience. Your work will influence all aspects of the product and business. You will also help shape our core culture and grow the team. You’ll be working on the biggest challenges the company is facing and will execute across entire domains, such as

  • Improving the precision / recall of our clinical algorithms by developing state-of-the-art models for complex time series data, unstructured text, etc.;
  • Growing our data science infrastructure, helping us stay nimble while also deploying consistently and reproducibly to secure partitioned client environments;
  • Developing complex, customer-facing analytics that enable continuous learning and meaningful provider education.

Your qualities

  • 3-5+ years' experience as a data scientist (or, if your y-intercept is lower, evidence that your slope is super steep)
  • Ownership mindset. Build and own features from start to finish.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. Previous experience as an early joiner in a technology startup or evidence that you are scrappy. Deal well with ambiguity and understand that there is sometimes a need to hack a feature together.
  • Product focus. How can you maximize the value we deliver to our customers?
  • Experience with ML Ops and deploying models into production is a plus
  • Experience with healthcare data, ideally both clinical data and billing/claims data, is a plus
  • Experience training, evaluating, and deploying large language models is a plus

Our data science stack

  • Python & common data science, deep learning libraries (numpy, pandas, Pytorch , etc.)
  • Postgres, Snowflake, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, dbt
  • AWS

Compensation

  • $160K to $200K base salary + equity

Benefits

  • Medical/dental/vision benefits
  • 401k
  • Free One Medical membership
  • Parental leave
  • Remote first
  • Minimal bureaucracy
  • Incredible teammates!
