Senior Back-End Engineer (Node.js)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js and React to join our team. Our project is a platform that connects handymen with clients in urgent need of services such as locksmiths, plumbers, electricians, glaziers, and more.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
• Proficiency in React (Svelte experience is a plus).
• Experience in building scalable back-end architectures.
• Knowledge of event-driven systems and modular monolith approaches.
• Familiarity with testing best practices and ability to implement them.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team.
• Proactive mindset and attention to detail in writing clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new portals for clients (B2C) and professionals (B2B).
• Lead the migration of our back-end using the strangler pattern to transition to an event-driven modular monolith.
• Refactor and optimize existing applications.
• Ensure high-quality code by incorporating testing into the development proces.
