Syros is looking for a Sales Manager – DACH Region

For over 30 years, Syros has been the European reference for avocado products. With production sites in Wingene and Ostend and a team of 47 employees, we bring the tastiest avocado creations to the European retail and food service market. Since January 1st, Syros has been part of the Westfalia Fruit Group. We are an ambitious company with a core (literally 🥑) and are now looking for a driven Sales Managerto join our team. This role will cover key markets across the DACH region.

What will you do at Syros?

As a Sales Manager, you will drive commercial success by managing key accounts and developing new opportunities across your markets. What can you expect in this role?

  1. Commercial Leadership:
    • Maintain relationships with key retail accounts, our products are currently found in retailers across Germany, Austria & Switzerland.
    • Build new long-lasting partnerships with B2B and B2C customers, focusing on both targeted prospecting and nurturing long-term relationships with existing clients.
    • Act as a strategic partner to customers by identifying market opportunities and increasing product offerings to maximise turnover.
  2. Market Expansion:
    • Actively prospect and onboard new customers in the DACH region, expanding our client base across the markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
    • Stay ahead of trends to offer tailored solutions and innovations.
  3. Business Insights and Reporting:
    • Use strong analytical skills and P&L understanding to monitor sales performance.
    • Provide regular updates to management on business growth and opportunities.
  4. Customer-Centric Approach:
    • Collaborate with R&D to offer innovative products and packaging aligned with customer needs.
    • Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring insights drive product development and market strategies.
  5. Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Work closely with internal teams, including supply chain and R&D, to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Report directly to the Sales Director and contribute to overall company success.

Requirements

  • You have experience in a commercial role, with a focus on either business development or key account management.
  • You have a commercial mindset, strong ambition, and a strategic mindset.
  • You are commercially savvy with strong negotiation skills, able to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • You have experience in the food industry.
  • You are data-focused, with an analytical mindset and attention to detail. You use KPIs to track performance and inform strategic decisions.
  • You are fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • You are flexible and willing to travel across Europe as needed.
