Job Description

DEDIQ is a Munich-based, operative investor focusing on innovative and fast-growing companies. For our new FSI Unit (SAP Fioneer) emerging from a strategic partnership with SAP, we are looking for dynamic new colleagues to build up and develop our financial solutions for the next generation banking and insurance industry.

Our vision for the banking and insurance companies of the future are customer centric high touch lifestyle institutions with efficient data management, state of the art regulation, based in the cloud.

SAP Fioneer is using its agility to build a modern, cloud focused FSI specific portfolio. The company will offer solutions to financial service providers tailored to address their needs and that cover their operative processes end-to-end. This will help banks, insurers, and other corporations to lower the need for home-grown solutions to enable new business models achieving rapid innovation, low IT cost and getting to a simplified operating model.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

We are looking for a talented, goal oriented, motivated and proactive team player with excellent technical, problem-solving and communication skills to join our Cloud Platform and Products team. You will be working with leading industry cloud solutions and teams in Banking, Insurance and other financial services solutions. 

Candidates should be self-driven, have an appetite and ability to learn and upskill quickly. Moreover, as Cloud Architect, you will

• Work with the CISO and CISA to ensure implementation of and adherence to security frameworks within the product teams.
• You will collaborate with our cloud providers to model and extend our FSI cloud solutions based on standard SAP services and our internal stakeholders. 
• Act as a mentor in your area of expertise to other colleagues. Seek to automate where possible and continuously improve existing processes.
• Reference Architecture development for SAP Private Cloud deployments across hyperscaler and co-location data centres, adhering to standard best practice frameworks
• Alignment of partner deployments to SAP Fioneer reference architectures and operating models
• Provide Cloud Architecture advisory to our customers and internal teams
• Be a go-to expert for Technical Architecture
• Service catalogue maintenance for our portfolio of technical services and solutions
• Ensure standardization and simplification of designs 
• Ensure system designs and operations adhere to customer and FSI regulation
• Enhancement of Cloud Readiness Assessments
• Network architecture knowledge and advisory for customer connection options on hyperscaler, private cloud DCs and PaaS
• Presales activities 
• Drive customer onboarding with handover to environments and operations teams
• Knowledge of general and industry security standards and compliance in SOC2, ISO27001.
• System hardening experience and knowledge
• CI/CD of relevant ITIL processes for cloud services

Requirements

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar, required. 
• Strong knowledge of IT security standards, compliance and technical architecture.
• Experience with Hyperscaler technologies
• Experience and mindset in technical security essential as is any experience in the FSI or a regulated industry
• You will have the freedom to innovate, grow and drive new initiatives and projects in the organization. 
• Experience in SAP on premise and or private cloud in a hands on capacity
• Certifications in SAP technology stack and Hyperscaler Cloud preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues.
• Very good communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
• Strong drive to get things done and willingness to get hands-on to support the team
• Self-driven, curious, flexible mindset with the ability to learn quickly

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Experience in the SAP BASIS and/or SAP Technical Architecture: 5+ years
• Private Cloud experience
• Security experience 
• Experience in working with global teams with high levels of collaboration

PRODUCT EXPERIENCE

• Core experience: SAP BASIS, SAP HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform

TECHNOLOGY  EXPERIENCE

• Core experience: good Azure or AWS or GCP knowledge, infrastructure experience with SAP on premise and private cloud, SAP technical security (SSO, SSL, encryption, system hardening), SAP Architecture
• Preferred: Networking knowledge, on-premise technology experience considered
