For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, remotely from Maryland, US.

As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing cloud-based infrastructure, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the security and performance of cloud systems. Your role will involve working closely with engineering teams to deploy, optimize, and troubleshoot AWS cloud stacks while using automation techniques to streamline workflows. You will also be tasked with creating and managing scripts, ensuring system uptime, and facilitating smooth application integration across the entire architecture. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, product-focused environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop, implement, optimize, and maintain AWS cloud-based solutions, ensuring the security of infrastructure and data.
  • Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible, applying best practices to support automation and integration.
  • Administer and support the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps) for all systems, software, and infrastructure, ensuring quality and security at every stage.
  • Develop scripts to automate operational tasks and ensure smooth system functionality, including patching, monitoring, and real-time issue remediation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and operations, to facilitate seamless product implementation and customer experience.
  • Support day-to-day operations, incident management, and troubleshooting, providing solutions for issues that may arise within AWS cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in cloud services such as AWS (server and serverless), as well as automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of security tools (Snyk, Tenable Nessus, AWS Security Hub) and best practices for cloud infrastructure security.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform impact analysis and troubleshoot AWS cloud issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and data pipeline strategies is a plus.
