Challenge

As  an  CloudOps  Engineer you will work along-side teams to help them devise strategies  to  improve  their  productivity,  developer  efficiency,  and  build the infra that is needed for  teams  to  deliver  high-quality  software.  You’ll  be  automating  almost  everything,  building infrastructure  as  code,  improving  deployment  pipelines,  and  hardening  observability  across 
multiple software components.  
 
The plan is to move to a more supportable PaaS infrastructure where developers own their code as it 
goes out into production, and you’ll play a central part in making that happen. 

What you'll do

- Work with a team of engineers with a diverse skill set to deliver software in a measurable, reliable way, as well as help build a 
resilient, monitor-able, scalable platform
- Work with AWS cloud-computing. From provisioning, to automation, to optimization, to be up to date with what’s available to maximize efficiency. 
-Lead and implement configuration management and infrastructure as code for our current cloud AWS infrastructure leveraging the best technology to maximize ROI.
-Help us to expand and support our continuous deployment pipeline.
-Provide operational support to our SaaS products, helping to troubleshoot our platform, as well as participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation. 

In order to succeed in this position, you will need:

Mandatory skills

- Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You are comfortable working 9-5 EST - we have a fair amount of flexibility for people to get their work done whenever works for them, but our core hours are Eastern Timezone.
- Experience with AWS Infrastructure
- Distributed applications and infrastructure on AWS
- Experience with Load balancing
- Environment setup
- ECTO instance
- Observability tools - Datadog, New Relic

Nice to have
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Terraform
