For one of our clients, we are looking for an Engineering Manager, remotely from United States.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of data engineers in developing scalable and secure data platforms, optimizing ETL pipelines, and ensuring efficient data storage and processing. You will mentor and guide your team while collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders from different departments. Your expertise will help turn data into a strategic asset for the organization, enabling better decision-making and driving innovation. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering collaboration and innovation within your team and across the company.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Oversee the development of scalable data platforms and real-time streaming pipelines.
  • Design and implement ETL pipelines in Python, optimizing data retrieval with advanced SQL queries.
  • Utilize AWS services and cloud storage systems to ensure data storage and processing efficiency.
  • Implement Docker containerization and leverage Spark for distributed data processing.
  • Facilitate data exchange with external vendors and ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience leading data engineering projects.
  • 2+ years of experience processing data using Snowflake, Redshift, Spark, or Hadoop.
  • Proficiency in Python for ETL development and advanced SQL query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling, relational database technologies, and data warehousing systems.
  • Strong background with AWS or GCP cloud platforms, and Spark for distributed data processing.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
