How you will achieve success:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement financial insights that support the operations and fulfillment team goals and overall business objectives
Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the supply chain and fulfillment network organizations; use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements.
Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and systems; deliver real time insights, weekly and monthly cadence reporting, support monthly financial close, using financial systems and advanced Excel functions and SQL to work with large data sets.
Team Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization; act as a trusted advisor to supply chain and operations leaders, providing insights and recommendations.
Innovation and Change Management: Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively and improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations.
What experiences will help you in this role:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and operations, with a focus on merchandising or a related field.
Must have ecommerce or retail experience.
Must have supply chain experience (specifically transportation and freight forecasting).
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, with a strong understanding of automation and technology in finance and operations.
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
