Job Overview

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer experienced in creating intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces for Arabic-speaking audiences. You will work on web and mobile applications tailored to Saudi/Gulf clients, ensuring excellent user experiences that respect local cultural and linguistic norms. This role may involve periodic travel to the Middle East for project collaboration and user research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype user interfaces for web and mobile platforms, incorporating Arabic UI/UX best practices (right-to-left layouts, appropriate typography, etc.).
  • Conduct user research, A/B testing, and usability evaluations to gather insights from Arabic-speaking users.
  • Work closely with product managers and developers to align design concepts with technical feasibility.
  • Iterate on wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Maintain design systems and style guides that ensure consistency across multiple projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Fluent or native Arabic language skills; proficient English for documentation and cross-team collaboration.
  • 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric design processes.
  • Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar).
  • Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  • Understanding of cultural nuances for Middle Eastern audiences, including text direction (RTL).

Preferred/Optional

  • Experience in usability testing, user research, or HCI (Human-Computer Interaction).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS to facilitate design handoff to developers.
  • Previous experience creating Arabic language apps or government portals.
