For one of our clients, we are looking for a Data Engineer, remotely from the United States.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that power real estate transactions and insights. You will collaborate closely with analytics, business, and engineering teams to build robust data models, optimize data accessibility, and ensure high data quality. Your work will support a wide range of use cases, including APIs, stream processing, reporting, product analytics, machine learning, and financial reporting. By leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies, you will contribute to a data-driven organization that delivers high-value insights to users.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs to support growing data volume and complexity.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models for enhanced accessibility and decision-making.
  • Implement and manage data quality processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of production data.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and business units to define long-term data platform architecture.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on internal and external data sources to drive business improvements.
  • Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python programming.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and database management.
  • 3+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services (S3, Lambda, RDS, Step Functions, Redshift, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience with data pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue (AWS certification preferred).
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MSSQL, SSIS, and SQL Studio.
  • Previous experience with cloud development (AWS, GCP).
  • Experience in designing and deploying data lakes, data mesh, data warehouses, and streaming platforms.
  • Familiarity with data quality projects and public records management.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, AWS Redshift, and AWS RDS.
