For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, remotely from the United States.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure systems. You'll focus on creating and extending observability, monitoring, and alerting platforms to ensure seamless application and infrastructure performance. By working closely with multiple teams, you will help build highly available and resilient systems, improving scalability and performance through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and open-source technologies like Prometheus and Grafana.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement new modules, pipelines, and tooling for observability and monitoring systems within established IaC frameworks.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure resiliency, high availability, and efficiency.
  • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance on troubleshooting, system upgrades, and deployments.
  • Ensure that documentation is up to date, covering new developments, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on UNIX/Linux system administration experience in a distributed enterprise environment.
  • 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS and Terraform.
  • Expertise in observability, monitoring, metrics, and alerting at scale with tools like Prometheus, Thanos, and Grafana.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Perl) and at least one programming language (Python, Go).
  • Strong experience with DevOps practices and tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Git, and Vagrant.
  • Familiarity with container ecosystems such as ECS and containerization technologies.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
