This Data Analyst role will play a critical role on the Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team. Primary responsibility is driving JumpCloud’s core reporting, dashboard, and analytics. You will support stakeholders across all company’s business units (Finance, Marketing, Sales, Growth, UX, Customer Success, Product) and partner with various technical teams (Enterprise Support Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering) to create impactful, cross-functional, and organization-wide insights.
A successful candidate will be passionate about data. You can balance and appropriately prioritize multiple projects, you are not afraid to ask difficult questions in an ambiguous environment, and can coordinate execution across various stakeholders. What you’ll be doing:
Collaborating and driving large, impactful projects involving data visualization, data analysis, and data curation with involvement across various stakeholders, business units, and technical partners.
Owning the outcomes of the analytics initiatives you’re leading. You’re not just a participant in the initiative, you hold yourself responsible for the outcome of the project.
Gathering requirements and providing actionable recommendations to business stakeholders that are seen routinely at an executive level, driving adoption and execution of recommendations.
Mentoring and growing the other analysts in the group. We’ve got a great team full of a lot of potential, you’ll be helping the other members of the team achieve their potential.
Supporting team's project management, strategic decision-making, and long-term planning.
Staying up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and data governance and applying them to support our business needs.
We’re looking for:
Intermediate knowledge and experience in SQL and relational databases; Snowflake experience highly preferred.
Proficiency in one or more business Intelligence / data visualization tools; Tableau experience highly preferred.
Intermediate quantitative experience, SaaS industry preferred.
Intermediate analytical skills and a passion for data storytelling and quantitative analysis.
Mentoring skills.
Strong attention to detail and desire to learn.
Effective stakeholder management skills and communication skills.
Experience with Data Governance best practices.
Competency with scripting languages such as Python (Jupyter, Pandas, Numpy) and/or R (tidyverse, dplyr, ggplot2) a plus.
Effective project management and organizational skills; Agile experience is a plus.
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, unstructured, dynamic environment; Start-up experience a plus.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
