LOCATION: Remote (USA Only)

COMPENSATION: $130K-$150K

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Director of Growth Marketing will build and lead the B2B growth marketing function for a private-equity backed leader in the K-12 and post-secondary learning environments market. This new role is designed for a classic player-coach with a startup mindset: someone who can both build and execute campaigns and programs directly as an individual contributor, while also hiring and planning strategically for the long-term growth and impact of the function on the Meteor business. The Director will partner closely with peers in Product Marketing, Communications, Revenue Operations, and Sales to oversee the full range of digital marketing, demand generation and marketing pipeline activities.

 

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in B2B demand, digital, or growth marketing roles, including direct experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce/Pardot strongly preferred), and demonstrated people leadership experience with previous full-time reports. Experience in the education industry (K-12 or post-secondary) is preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Digital Marketing
    • In year one help lead the rebuilding of a new corporate digital presence, while setting long-term marketing platform strategy covering multiple sites (local studios, subsidiaries) to drive leads and support brand efforts.
    • Plan, design and implement email marketing initiatives, including prospecting and nurture campaigns, using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Pardot).
    • Manage all digital channel lead capture and conversion optimization.
    • Oversee all organic SEO strategies across our digital properties.
    • Be the internal owner and day-to-day lead of our primary customer-facing digital marketing platforms, including company websites and marketing automation tools.
    • Plan and drive any digital paid media strategies.

  • Marketing Pipeline
    • Own the overall marketing pipeline, including structure, metrics, scoring, implementation and optimization within our tech stack and analytics suite.
    • Develop and refine pipeline and marketing channel analytics strategy, reporting, and KPIs in collaboration with Revenue Operations.
    • Partner across the Marketing and Sales teams to develop a holistic lead capture and follow up strategy and toolset across all customer touchpoints, from events to local market programs to content/email/digital channels.

 

  • Growth Marketing Strategy & Team
    • Serve as the growth marketing strategist and subject matter expert for the wider Marketing team, contributing to and shaping demand and nurture initiatives across the team and Meteor organization.
    • Build and lead a small, focused team to execute this strategy and set the foundation for scaling our capabilities with the company’s overall growth path.
    • Be the primary lead for our digital marketing agency.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing or closely related fields, with substantial experience in digital, demand, strategy, or growth roles.
  • Direct experience in people and team leadership, including hiring.
  • Prior industry experience in education (K-12 or post-secondary) is a bonus.

Skills and Abilities

  • Hands-on experience building campaigns and managing lead flow and reporting in CRM and Marketing Automation (Salesforce / Pardot or comparable).
  • Fluency in digital marketing/growth strategy and best practices, and the various elements.
  • Expertise with website builds and management, conversion optimization, and technical/content SEO.
  • Competency in marketing analytics platforms, models, reporting, and KPIs.
  • Experience managing external contractors, agencies, and scopes.
  • Conversant in the use of AI tools in digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with internal budget management principles and practices.
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to generate actionable insights based on quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
