Job Description

The Business Analyst (BA) at Authorium plays a pivotal role in revolutionizing government procurement processes by bridging the gap between complex customer needs and innovative technology solutions. As a key member of the Service Delivery team, the BA collaborates closely with Solution Engineers (SEs) and Project Managers (PMs) to ensure efficient and effective customer onboarding.

The BA's primary focus is to develop deep relationships with government clients, meticulously documenting their processes, understanding their current state, identifying product gaps, and clearly articulating the vision of success in the project charter. This role is crucial in translating complex Government processes into streamlined, modern solutions that empower governments to access cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • Platform Proficiency: Quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms and tools, including the Authorium platform. Demonstrate ability to rapidly become proficient in using these technologies for analysis and reporting.
  • Government Processes: Gain in-depth understanding of Government processes as required by use cases. This may include procurement rules and regulations for state, local, and federal government entities, Bill Analysis, Budget Change Processes, etc. Apply this knowledge to provide thoughtful insights and feedback on business processes related to government operations.
  • As-is Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to understand and document their as-is business requirements. This involves conducting interviews, workshops, and analyzing existing documentation.
  • Analysis Documentation: Analyze collected data to identify patterns, trends, and potential areas for improvement. Document and communicate business processes, workflows, system requirements, and pain points.
  • Business Process Improvement (BPI): Identify potential process improvements.
  • Process Mapping Expertise: Demonstrate high-level proficiency in creating detailed process maps using various tools and techniques. Utilize process mapping to visualize and analyze complex business processes, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Apply process mapping skills to support business process improvement initiatives.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data and processes to offer valuable insights to stakeholders. Provide constructive feedback on existing systems and proposed solutions. Translate complex technical information into easily understandable recommendations, ensuring that all feedback is actionable and aligned with business objectives.This may involve creating reports, dashboards, and conducting data modeling.
  • Solution Assessment and Validation: Evaluate proposed solutions to ensure they meet business requirements. Validate that implemented solutions align with the initially defined objectives.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, implementation team, and the product team. Ensure that all parties involved have a clear understanding of the requirements and project goals. Collaborate with project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Assist in project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Change Management: Support the implementation of changes by providing documentation, training, and communication to affected stakeholders. Help manage the transition to new processes or systems.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address issues and challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle. Propose effective solutions to ensure project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of deliverables by conducting testing and validation activities. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure that the developed solutions meet business requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to existing business processes and systems. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Understand their needs and priorities to align business strategies with technology solutions.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to help understand customer needs and present solutions accordingly as we grow Authorium to the next level.

This role will include up to 25% travel for on-site customer work.
