Who you are: 

You have a passion to succeed and deep experience in software sales leadership. You understand the Unified Communication space and ideally have sold software solutions alongside Cisco and/or Microsoft. You are excited to collaborate and guide a team of talented, thoughtful, creative people, knowing that all are integral to the growth and success of Akkadian Labs.   

Your “figure it out” mentality and desire to constantly learn and refine your approach are strong assets as you drive your team toward achieving aggressive revenue targets.  Closing deals is in your DNA, and you know how to lead and inspire sales teams to optimal performance to achieve their goals.  

What You’ll Do: 

  • Sales Leadership and Development 
    • Lead Account Management, Renewals and Sales Engineering. Responsible for the oversight and development of the sales team which includes recruitment, strong performance management, direction/coaching, and high morale. 
    • Partner with President/COO to set operational strategies to achieve business objectives and achieve sales/revenue targets, including annual commission plan design 
    • Set departmental KPIs and evaluate the effectiveness of the sales initiatives, making appropriate changes that drive achievement of overall sales and business targets.  
    • Work with Marketing to optimize lead generation and conversion rates. 
    • Spearhead the sales department’s territory, account, and opportunity strategy development initiatives, ensuring that they remain consistent with the business’s overall strategy.  
    • Establish relationships with key personnel within the business’ market by attending industry events and conferences, establishing, and maintaining long-term relationships with key consumers, potential consumers, and key strategic partners.  
    • Responsible for negotiating sales and business development transactions inclusive of licenses, transaction agreements, subscription agreements, and partnerships.  
  • Provide input to Product/Development on customer feedback to guide product evolution  
  • Work closely with the executive team and key stakeholders to recommend and advise on sales reporting, analysis, forecasting and strategies to align business efforts and avoid conflict of interests to achieve the business’s overall goals and targets.  
  • Establish strong relationships and partnerships across departments and collaborating on solutions that remove roadblocks/barriers to sales execution and growing revenue  

Requirements

Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria: 

 

  • 5+ years in a sales leadership role with consistent proven success, enterprise-focused software, and Unified Communication experience required. 
  •  Passion for coaching and development, working alongside the team to elevate performance, manage pipeline, and close deals. 
  • Influential communicator at all levels in an organization 
  • Commitment to driving accountability for our CRM (Salesforce) 
  • Expertise in selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning and execution, and employee motivation techniques. 
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but what we value most is experience along with mental agility.
